ACTING OUT: "ENJOY YOUR MEAL"

Enjoy your meal is used by waiters in restaurants, however, the British do not have the custom, common in many other countries, of saying it to other family members at the table.

Year 7 students have acted out an oral dialogue to the class. They have played different roles, waiter or waitress and customer. Those that played the customer role,  had to look at the menu first and decide what they would order, while the one playing the waiter role had to ask questions, offer politely different dishes, take notes and tell the customer the final price.

We have also given feedback: praising good performance and correcting a few mistakes.

It´s been a great opportunity to learn such a useful topic, and I am quite happy with the results.
