MOVING ON: ENGLISH PLAY

A thoroughly enjoyable time was had by all as we  witnessed a very modern take on a timeless classic...it was Shakespeare with a difference.

"All the world's a stage," a cleverly produced ,interactive piece of theatrical drama held Year 7 and 8 captive.The actors enrolled the help of several participants to tell their tale of  two young people looking for work,namely Fernando Romo, Andrea Moreno  and Silvia Bueno from Year 8. Also helping out were Fernando Martos and Juan Gonzalez from Year 7.

The performance culminated in a show stopping musical extravaganza...and some catchy sing along songs.

BREDON SCHOOL

For the last couple of weeks we had among us the three Year 7 students who are studying in Bredon School in England. 

They came back for their autumn break and we all had the chance to share their experience in an english boarding school.

It was great to find out more about the english culture.

1º ESO VISITA SEGOVIA

Los alumnos de 1º ESO están disfrutando de un fabuloso día en Segovia. En Social Science han estudiado diferentes civilizaciones como la sociedad romana, su arquitetectura y sus logros y han ido a comprobarlo "in situ".

CUENTOS DE HALLOWEEN EN LENGUA ESPAÑOLA

Los alumnos de 2º ESO también escribieron un cuento o relato por el día de Halloween.

En el taller literario de las clases de lengua hicimos un proyecto que consistía en escribir una historia de miedo. Todos hicimos las historias con portada y las leímos en clase. Al final, para ver el ganador, elegimos las dos historias que más nos gustaban. Entre los dos ganadores uno era yo.

RESULTS OF THE LAUDE FONTENEBRO HALLOWEEN FILM FESTIVAL 2013

Teachers, delegates, prefects and parents who attended the event were in charge of choosing who would receive the “Pumpkins” this year by casting ballots. Below is a summary of the results.

The Pumpkin for best sketch goes to “Edward Cullen and the Girl from The Ring” by Year 7B with a total of 11 votes. “Smiley Iris” received 8 votes, “The Dentist” 7 votes, “The Shining audition” 4 votes, and “Z-Invasion” 3 votes. The other short films did not receive any votes.

The Pumpkin for most original idea goes to “Edward Cullen and the Girl from The Ring” by Year 7B with 10 votes. “The Shining audition” received 7 votes, “Smiley Iris” 6 votes, “The Dentist” 6 votes, and “Slenderboy” 4 votes. The other short films did not receive any votes.

The Pumpkin for best male performance goes to Angel Reques (The Dentist) with 9 votes. Juan Gonzalez received 8 votes, Miguel Martín 3 votes, Rodrigo Gonzalez 2 votes, Alex Sanz 2 votes and Álvaro Pozas, Mario García and Mario Lopez received 1 vote each.

The Pumpkin for best female performance goes to Iris Cerro (Smiley Iris) with 12 votes. Paula Diaz received 4 votes, Aurora Cerra 3 votes, Cristina Soriano and Carmen Cornejo 2 votes each, and Cristina Cuena and Raquel Martin 1 vote each.

A special thanks goes to the parents who took the time to attend the event, and who I am sure enjoyed themselves as much as we did. Antonio De Paz, Marcos Iglesias, German Juanco and Carmen Cerezuela also deserve a special mention for helping to make the day a success.
